For those looking for a dark but not bitter blend, this is the best of the best. Full coffee flavor with none of the bitterness generally associated on the finish of many French roasts. Over the years I've tried a lot of "extra bold" and "dark roast" K-Cups, and this is definitely the best of the best.

On the other hand, I only received 80% of my last order. The other 20% came loose in the bottom of the box accompanied by their topless K-Cups. Quite a disappointing mess. As a result, the cost of the coffee turns out to be more expensive than the advertised price suggesting it might be better purchased elsewhere -- or at least from a vendor with some concern for packaging and shipping.

I like a strong cup of joe in the morning.
ive tried all the x bold varieties.
parisian nights and black tiger are my favorites.
with a little creamer, they are rich yet smooth.
w/o creamer i would think most would consider both esp. black tiger overpowering.
I prefer med cofee w/o and xbold w/ little creamer.
some of the others, jet fuel, wake up call, midnight magic, and others tend to have a bitter aftertaste.
Another to try is rainforest expresso. very intense overpowering, but again, dial in with a little creamer, is very tasty. not smooth like the other 2, but the after taste is rich and earthy. not in your face bitter like some the others.

I think this is , hands down, the very best dark roast available in a K-cup. I have tried as many as they sell on Amazon and this one has it all. Dark, sweet, oily, with no bitterness at all. Close runner-ups would be Timothy's midnight magic, Emeril's Big Easy Bold, and Deidrich's French Roast.

Timothy's World Coffee, Parisan Nights - Great coffee

I have been trying different k-cups (Timothy's, Green Mountain, etc.) since I got my Keurig machine last Christmas and Parisian Nights is my favorite. If you like strong coffee, this is it.

This coffee is by far the best "strong coffee" that we have tried in our Keurig system. It has a pleasing strong taste, no unpleasant after-taste, and is economical. If you like strong french style coffee, it is highly recommended.
