We had a Bunn coffee maker identical to the this one for several years. When a plastic part broke, there was no considering anything but a Bunn. It is extremely fast, and makes a consistant, perfect cup of coffee every time. If you want a new coffee maker, I would'nt consider anything else, unless it was a more expensive Bunn. If this price seems high compared to others, it is more than worth it. You will be glad you made this decision.

If I set this Bunn up to brew a pot of coffee, the pot has finished brewing by the time I get my thermos out of the cupboard. I don't think I will buy anything but Bunn again. Great coffee maker.

Built to fail.

I had the saem problem others posted about here, a leak. It happened over a period of a few days. At first I thought someone had spilled some water when filling it. Then, one day, I noticed a much larger puddle, and saw that it was leaking. It is now trash, sitting outside on the curb.

Researching the reviews here, I found this problem mentioned many times, and apparently this leak has been known about for years, yet it's never been remedied by Bunn.

I am finished with automatic drip coffee makers. The consumber coffee makers are built from far too much plastic. Plastic doesn't do well to being heated, then cooled, heated, then... The commercial coffee makers from Bunn don't use as much plastic, from what I understand they're mostly metal (tubes, etc).

After having many, many auto-drip coffee makers, I bought this because I thought, "It's a Bunn product, it should be OK". 2 years later, it's trash.

I am finished with auto-drip coffee makers. It's now manual drip and percolators for me. Manual drip can't fail unless you lose the funnel or break the carafe. Most percolators are almost entirely metal.

Anyway, the Bunn worked well for the time I used it. Though, anything less than 6 cups and the coffee would be very weak.

I have had Bunn coffee makers for over 15 years now. I would not choose any other brand. They are consistantly good and the fastest brewer out there.

That said, my recent purchase arrived when promised and was exactly as stated. I had read the other reviews, positive and negative, and therefore closely inspected the Bunn. This was a new style for me and different than my old one. I love the design and easy fill top. The lid slides to the side, is somewhat delicate and in my opinion would not withstand much abuse. The brew basket is well designed and slides in easily. The coffee, as promised, is brewed within 3 minutes.

I love my Bunn.

recieved in good shape and in minamal time. I have had bun coffee makers for 25 years or more and they make the best coffee and are very fast. The reason I did not give it 5 stars I dont like the way the lid is on the pot. It catches moistue under it and drips when you pour your coffee. Other than that it is great.
